Septentria's Girl
Dedicated to Baroness Adrielle

I’ve travelled far and wide
From one far shore unto another
And I’ve wasted so much precious time
On fair-weather friends and fickle lovers
Seen far to much for my own good
In younger days I served temptation
Now I’ve left behind my own true love
And in my age I seek redemption

Chorus:
And I want to be home with Septentria’s girl
Her soft sweet smile and her ginger curl
And I curse all the ships and the waves of the world
That carry me far from Septentria’s girl
Oh that carry me far from Septentria’s Girl

If only time weren’t lost
Like old pathways and children’s mittens
Then we wouldn’t have to face the cost
Of love long lost and heartache unforgiven

Chorus

I take this pen in hand at last
And I sing a hymn of unrepentance
For this world has been my prison love
And losing you my life long sentence

Chorus and repeat
