The Blazing Scarlet Aztek

Chorus:
And if you could have seen us there
Boys, if you had just been there
You too would curse the distance
That we had to lug our gear.
Just South of Bleak we'd driven
As envoys to the wyvern
In the blazing scarlet Aztek
Of the Bards of Ealdormere.

Forth went we gallant raiders---
The Northshield-bound crusaders---
To drive a mighty distance
For to welcome in a peer.
We crossed the US border
To see him join the order.
With maudlin perseverance
Went the bards of Ealdormere.

Chorus

While Garraed was a-driving
Us others were surviving
On grease-slicked down MacDonald's
Squished together in the rear.
In front seat there was Hector
Who plotted out our vector.
We tested well the patience
Of the Bards of Ealdormere.

Chorus

While drinking Coke and coffee,
We heard the mad cacoph'ny
We knew was Hector's prelude
To a comment we would fear.
We thought on our existence
And swore we'd make the distance
Or else we'd kill the Master
Of the Bards of Ealdormere.

Chorus

At last we closed the journey.
Arriving at the tourney,
We sighed with satisfaction,
As we went to find a beer.
We'd faced the griffon's talon
To visit Owen Alun.
Such madness comes with friendship
With the Bards of Ealdormere.

Chorus

Now parting was a sorrow.
We knew that come tomorrow,
Our clock would ring too early;
For our homeland we would steer.
We'll shun the road's temptation
'Til Northshield's coronation.
"Let it be in Wisconsin!"
Pray the Bards of Ealdormere.

Chorus
