The Current Kingdom Bard

Greetings to the bards of our fair Kingdom,

I find myself returning to the duties of Kingdom Bard at TRM's command and see my duties as specific: To fill the halls with song, to ensure that stories of our heroes are heard by the night fires and to encourage the new bardagh of our realm in coming forward to perform, that our tradition continue.

In order to do that, and like my predecessors, I call upon all of you to get involved.

Nowhere in the Known World is there a greater Kingdom for bardic arts than ours. This is not idle speculation. This is a fact. The reason for that fact lies in a simple truth. We 'all' play this game. Our whole populace buys into the idea that our words have meaning and that we are not simple background noise. That our roles as educators; as historians, tale spinners and poets is vital and important. Our music speaks with the voice of a people and the strength of a land.

This summer specifically is important as we head to war beside our brother, the Kingdom of Northshield beneath the banners of our father the Dragon of the Midrealm. It is a time of new beginnings and old legends.

Stand and be heard. Make halls tremble with the passion of your voice and the glory of your art. If you would take your place then I will clear the way to make sure you can be heard.
